Configuration

RS-Illu are classic two-way floor-standing loudspeakers equipped with two active drivers: low-mid-frequency and high-frequency..
The slot-type reflex port has a large cross-sectional area, is placed vertically along the rear wall of the case with an outlet at its bottom. This port design contributes to high efficiency of low frequency radiation, provides fast attack and depth of the bass range.

Drivers

RS-Illu is equipped with drivers from the well-known manufacturer ScanSpeak, the Illuminator series, which have excellent characteristics.
The cones of the 7-inch low-mid-frequency drivers are made of paper pulp and have a unique reinforcement pattern.
1-inch ring-diaphragm high-frequency drivers feature ceramic center “drops” and provide an extremely wide dispersion pattern. Both drivers have excellent resolution characteristics.

Instalation

The speaker systems have metal supports with spiked legs, which allow for precise positioning of the speaker systems on the floor, taking into account the desired slope. The terminal blocks have two pairs of convenient and reliable terminals that allow connection to amplifiers using Bi-Wiring or Bi-Amping schemes (or classic connection using jumpers between two independent inputs of high and low-pass filters). The rear location of the bass reflex port allows speaker systems to be installed at a minimum distance of 10 cm from the opposite wall

Cabinet

The RS-Illu cabinet is made of milled MDF panels and has a complex internal structure of partitions and stiffeners. The internal volume of the low-mid-frequency drivers is evenly filled with synthetic sound-absorbing material. The high rigidity of the cabinets and the uniform filling of the internal volume with sound-absorbing material ensure the absence of harmful resonances.

Crossovers

They have a simple second-order circuit with shallow frequency response correction in both low- and high-pass filters. Carefully calibrated filter slope and roll-off characteristics contribute to a natural sound without unnecessary coloration or accents in a particular frequency range of the sound range.
Crossover boards are built on high-quality components: polypropylene capacitors with low tolerances of nominal values, inductors with air cores wound with thick wire, wire resistors also with low tolerances of nominal values.

Finishing

The speaker system housings are finished with veneer (a palette of more than 50 varieties), tinted, covered with glossy or matte varnish, and at the customer’s request can be painted with enamels from the RAL color palette.
An additional option involves selecting texture and color options for finishing to match the interior style using realistic renderings.
The speaker systems are equipped with decorative grills made of acoustically transparent fabric and mounted on hidden magnets.
